Lawler Alignments – The Galactic Tide

The Galactic Tide

329 years after Principia was first published the Antiquated Academics are still peddling Newton’s universal law of magical mathematical mass.

A specialised sect of Antiquated Academics [affectionately known as the Arcane Astronomers] believe galactic tides [“in the direction of the galactic centre”] are caused by the universal law of magical mathematical mass.

Galactic tides
Galactic tides are the tidal forces exerted by galaxies on stars within them and satellite galaxies orbiting them.

Across such a vast distance, the gradient of the Milky Way’s gravitational field plays a far more noticeable role.

Because of this gradient, galactic tides may then deform an otherwise spherical Oort cloud, stretching the cloud in the direction of the galactic centre and compressing it along the other two axes, just as the Earth distends in response to the gravity of the Moon.

On the other hand:

Another sect of Antiquated Academics [affectionately known as the Cambridge Courtiers of Canute] preach a Tidal Theory [based upon the very same universal law of magical mathematical mass] that doesn’t recognise galactic tides.

Tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of the gravitational forces exerted by the Moon and the Sun and the rotation of the Earth.

The times and amplitude of tides at a locale are influenced by the alignment of the Sun and Moon, by the pattern of tides in the deep ocean, by the amphidromic systems of the oceans, and the shape of the coastline and near-shore bathymetry.

Some shorelines experience a semi-diurnal tide – two nearly equal high and low tides each day. Other locations experience a diurnal tide – only one high and low tide each day.

A “mixed tide”; two uneven tides a day, or one high and one low, is also possible.

In 1687, English mathematician Sir Isaac Newton published Principia, which hypothesizes the inverse-square law of universal gravitation.

The story of King Canute and the waves is an apocryphal anecdote illustrating the piety or humility of king Canute the Great, recorded in the 12th century by Henry of Huntingdon.

In the narrative, Canute demonstrates to his flattering courtiers that he has no control over the elements (the incoming tide), explaining that secular power is vain compared to the supreme power of God.

The episode is frequently alluded to in contexts where the futility of “trying to stop the tide” of an inexorable event is pointed out, but usually misrepresenting Canute as believing he had supernatural powers, when Huntingdon’s story in fact relates the opposite.

Meanwhile, back in the real world:

Early in the 20th century Applied Scientists constructed an analogue computer for predicting tides based upon 37 real world tidal components.

Tide-Predicting Machine No. 2, also known as Old Brass Brains, was a special-purpose mechanical analog computer that uses gears, pulleys, chains, and other mechanical components to compute the height and time of high and low tides for specific locations.

The machine can perform tide calculations much faster than a person could do with pencil and paper. The U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey put the machine into operation in 1910.

It was used until 1965, when it was replaced by an electronic computer.

Tide-Predicting Machine No. 2

It is about 11 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 6 feet high, and weighs approximately 2,500 pounds

The machine is designed to take account of 37 constituents, including 32 short-period and 5 long-period constituents.

The 37 constituents are: J1, K1, K2, L2, M1, M2, M3, M4, M6, M8, N2, 2N, O1, OO, P1, Q1, 2Q, R2, S1, S2, S4, S6, T2, lambda2, µ2, nu2, rho1, MK, 2MK, MN, MS, 2SM, Mf, MSf, Mm, Sa, Ssa.

Amongst these 37 real world components is one labelled the “solar annual component, Sa” which moves through 360º during a year at the rate of 0.0410686º per hour.

The solar annual component, Sa, mounted in the roar component frame, was also provided with a doubling gear, which permitted the use of a 2-inch instead of the 4-inch crank required by its maximum height amplitude.

In other words:

The Cambridge Courtiers of Canute have been diligently mislabelling galactic tides as the “solar annual component” [for at least the last 100 years] in the vain hope that nobody will realise that believing in their Tidal Theory [and the universal law of magical mathematical mass] is the academic equivalent to “hanging upside down with your head in a bucket of hyena offal”.

One Poghril would ask another Poghril, “Why is life like hanging upside down with your head in a bucket of hyena offal?”

To which the second Poghril would reply “I don’t know, why is life like hanging upside down with your head in a bucket of hyena offal?”

To which the first Poghril would reply, “I don’t know either – wretched isn’t it?”

The galactic tides are clearly discernible in the pattern of Day Time and Night Time tides for Cristobal [Colón, Panama 9° 21′ 26″ N 79° 53′ 55″ W] in the Caribbean Sea.

The first step in the analysis is to identify Day Time Tides [high and low tide data points] that occur during a 12 hour day that runs from 06:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the evening [local time].

Generally, the Ambient Force is [predominantly] pulling the Day Time Tides above the datum [outer green ring] in December.

Conversely, the Ambient Force is [predominantly] pushing the Day Time Tides below the datum [outer green ring] in June.

The second step in the analysis is to identify Night Time Tides [high and low tide data points] that occur during a 12 hour night that runs from 18:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning [local time].

Generally, the Ambient Force is [predominantly] pulling the Night Time Tides above the datum [outer green ring] in June.

Conversely, the Ambient Force is [predominantly] pushing the Night Time Tides below the datum [outer green ring] in December.

The elongation of the Earth’s orbit [around the Sun] in the direction of M54 suggest the galactic tides move “in the direction of the galactic centre” of the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy.

Firstly, the plan view of the Earth’s orbit reveals that Aphelion [which occurs in early July] aligns with M54 at the “core” of the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy.

Secondly, the side elevation [aka cross section] of the Earth’s orbit reveals that the Sun [and hence the Solar System] is “travelling in a polar orbit (i.e. an orbit passing over the Milky Way’s galactic poles)” and this trajectory clearly suggests the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy wins the Our Galaxy designation competition.

Overlaying the Cristobal tidal patterns onto the alignment chart further reinforces this view.

Just say no to “hanging upside down with your head in a bucket of hyena offal”.
