New Eastern Outlook – Caleb Maupin – 03.05.2016

Often, when people are first becoming personally acquainted with me and my political views, I will be asked point-blank: “Do you support North Korea?”

I always respond, “No, I don’t support North Korea. I support all of Korea.”

One Response to Caleb Maupin: Let’s Talk About Korea

  1. rishrac says:

War isn’t a one sided affair. Some wars I can think of are useless and only serve to make some people richer. Others, however, no matter what cannot be avoided. Nobody in the world wanted a repeat of WW I. And then Hitler came along. I only want the land next to mine. I’m sure that nobody in China was thinking that it’d be a good thing if the Imperial Government of Japan invades during the 1930s . Some people, such as Caleb, are isolated from people that aren’t interested in the idea of peaceful coexistence. That dirty business is left up to a few of trying to stop them. Try living in an area where there is a lot of gang activity. They are not exactly interested in dialog. Moving up in the organization is a matter of knocking someone off. The little captain in North Korea is made of the same cloth. He’d kill a million or 2 if it helped him achieve his personal goals. Even family members are not exempt. He’s so perfect, he doesn’t need to go potty.
He lends credibility to people that I wish didn’t exist. The United States may not be perfect, but it is a far distance between some the despotic regimes and groups that exist. Let’s have a religion where one of its chief ways of making money is enslavement of women. And if their husbands, father’s or brothers happen to get killed in the process, all the better. They didn’t believe the same way we do. It is impossible to talk to someone who believes that they are right, who is willing to die for it, who believes it is their scared duty to kill anyone different than themselves. Obviously, he hasn’t had a back street meeting with Crips, Bloods, or 18th Street gangs.
